Upon launching the application, users are presented with "collections"—curated bundles of event details that include detailed, offline-compatible maps, making them an essential part of participant gear. New collections can be seamlessly added to the app library by scanning a Capra QR code, using our smartlinks, or searching by title within the app. Sharing event information among friends, family, and fellow participants is streamlined, fostering better communication. In emergency situations, users can easily share their current coordinates via provided latitude and longitude data.

For event organizers and race directors, Capra functions as a comprehensive content management platform, simplifying the creation and updating of event details for display on websites and within the application. The platform supports rapid sharing of information through QR codes, website embeds, and smartlinks, enhancing operational efficiency.

The app employs background location services to assist outdoor navigation and utilizes notifications to deliver real-time updates such as course modifications. Users should be aware that enabling background location tracking may impact device battery life.
